Passion about photography
I’m a creative/architect from Mexico, now living in beautiful San Diego, working with the most talented people as Creative Director at Jacob Tyler.
My passion for design, architecture, travel and nature all combine in photography. This site is an attempt to showcase the images I’ve collected through my travels for the past two decades and hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
I’ve had many cameras throughout the years. Early on in my journey my choice was black and white film. I was a Nikon shooter back then, FE2 was my first camera, followed by the FM10 (one of my favorite cameras of all time). In 2004 Canon started the digital revolution with the 20D, one of the first pro-consummer cameras. This is when I decided to switch to digital and leave the chemical darkroom for the digital darkroom (aka Photoshop).
Since then I have owned a 20D, 5D and a 5D MkII. I’ve always loved shooting architecture and nature, when the 5D was launched I wanted to really take advantage of the full frame sensor. Currently I still own my original 5D (now used as a second body and for the office) and use a 5D MkII as my primary body, enduring many travels and harsh weather.
I don’t do much video or a lot of night photography and have not seen the urge to update to the 5D MkIII. I must say, the EOS 6D recently launched looks tempting with its in camera WiFi, GPS and other neat modern features.
Below is a list of lenses and equipment I use.
